Beyond Symptom Management

From Fixing to Flourishing

Many therapy models view distress as a problem to be solved—an error in the system. In this space, we view symptoms—anxiety, restlessness, or the heavy fog of depression—as signals. They are the psyche’s way of telling us that something in your life is no longer in alignment with your truth.

Existential-Humanistic therapy is my clinical foundation, and is less about “fixing” you and more about meeting you. It is not a set of scripted techniques, but a way of being together that honors your complexity, your history, and your capacity for choice.

The Four Pillars

Our Work is anchored in four core human experiences:

Freedom: Recognizing that even in the tightest corners of life, you have the agency to choose your response.

Meaning: Moving past “shoulds” to discover what actually makes your life feel worth living.

Connection: Exploring how you relate to yourself and others in the “here-and-now.”

Courage: The willingness to sit with the unknown until the path becomes clear.

A Systems & Narrative Perspective

While our work is rooted in individual experience, I recognize that no one exists in a vacuum. We will look at the systems you move through—your family history, your community, and the cultural waters you swim in.

By utilizing NarrativeTherapy, we begin to differentiate between the stories you hold about yourself and the truth of who you actually are. This isn’t just about gaining insight; it’s about reclaiming your agency.

The Therapeutic Relationship & Attachment

I don’t sit behind a clinical facade. I show up as a human being. The relationship we build is the "laboratory" where change happens. Through the lens of Attachment Theory, we look at how you learned to seek safety and connection—creating a space where you no longer have to perform, and where even the questions that don’t have easy answers are welcome.

Moving Toward Action

While we honor the depth of your history, we also attend to the present. Where helpful, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools to help you identify the immediate patterns that keep you stuck, bridging the gap between deep existential reflection and the practical shifts that help you move through the world with more clarity and presence.
